Voice Disorders
Does your child sound hoarse or deeper than other children? Or do they frequently lose their voice after cheering or singing? They may have a voice disorder.
Voice disorders in children can be common, but they aren’t normal and can cause long lasting damage.
Children that sound hoarse, or have frequent periods of losing their voice may have vocal nodules. Some children may require surgery to correct the vocal nodules, however some children may only require speech pathology intervention.
